Travel Manager at Sofidel
Letizia Baccelli joined Sofidel in 1991.
Over the years she acquired experience in different departments and took positions of increasing responsibility. She is the Travel Manager since 2015. After an initial reorganization of the office, she set the activity on a few key points: finding efficiencies, creating cross-functional optimizations at group level, promoting a business travel culture that reconciles the needs of travelers as much as possible with business requests. Hence the implementation of new tools and processes exported all over Sofidel group offices and the drafting of the first Group Travel Policy in collaboration with all other departments affected.
And, again, the decision to centralize all operational and management activities in Italy in order to: ensure fairness in service standards; identify further possible efficiencies and/or critical issues on which to work; have greater contractual power with suppliers; above all, work daily on negotiation and communication regarding both the services made available and the creation of real knowledge of the world of business travel, disseminated both individually and globally through official corporate channels (newsletters, periodical publications).
Letizia Baccelli won the “Travel manager of the year – Travel expenses up to 1 million euro award” during IMA 2019 and was a member of the IMA jury in 2020 and 2022.
